a.k.a Saint Ki (b.1998)
Saint Ki is a Chicago based multidisciplinary artist focused on summarizing emotional self reflections, experiences, and nostalgia through storytelling by using his self taught take on portraiture. Pulling insight from creative luminaries such as Salvador Dali, he merges elements of conceptualism seamlessly into his artistic practice, resulting in a body of work that is as visually striking as it is thematically rich. Weather inspiration is taken from his idols, media or from life itself, each work serves as a visual summary of lived experiences that circle around the main topic of his emotional state and identity. Gestured figures, abstract colorful skin tones, exaggerated expressions, movements, and intuitive colour pallets allows for dramatic messaging through conceptual surrealism. With each piece, he grows closer to fully understanding himself as his works are a visual representation of his self discovery.
